As a pediatric Occupational Therapist, I realized the necessity of finding engaging ways to communicate strategies tailored to the diverse needs of my patients. Crafting stories with crayons and craft paper became a creative outlet through which I could address these needs effectively. These stories evolved into books, serving as a platform to share Occupational Therapy strategies designed to address the specific challenges children encounter in their daily lives. My hope is that these books create a fun and interactive way to learn helpful OT strategies, fostering growth and empowerment in children's daily routines.

I never imagined I'd be writing occupational therapy stories for children! From a young age, I've been captivated by storytelling, crafting worlds with words. Growing up with mild CP, I experienced firsthand the impact of receiving PT and OT services, igniting a passion to help others achieve their goals. After college, I pursued my MOT, finding my calling as a pediatric occupational therapist.

However, after two and a half years as a therapist, I felt something was missing — I hadn't explored my passion for writing since college. Inspired by the makeshift stories I created to assist my patients, I saw an opportunity to create children's stories with OT strategies tailored to the needs of kids like those under my care. With unwavering support from my husband, family, and friends, I took a leap of faith, starting my own business.

This journey has been full of challenges and dreams I once thought impossible. Yet, fueled by love for what I do, and God’s grace, I started Otstories! Today, I'm grateful for the opportunity to blend my passions and make a positive impact on children's lives through storytelling.
